Fredrik Filipsson is the founder and editor of Where To Eat Dubai. Dubai-based since 2020, he eats out five or more nights a week across every district from Al Qusais to Palm Jumeirah, writing reviews, area guides, and ranked lists that readers use to decide where to eat tonight.

Before launching Where To Eat Dubai, Fredrik spent fifteen years in enterprise technology advisory with clients in London, Stockholm, New York, and the Gulf — work that trained a critical eye he now applies to restaurants, dishes, service, and menus. He has sampled more than 1,400 restaurants in the UAE and catalogues every meal with receipts, photographs, and on-the-night notes.

His editorial line is simple: pay for the meal, arrive unannounced, disclose anything comped, and rank honestly. Where To Eat Dubai does not accept paid reviews or pay-for-placement in ranked lists.

Editorial policy
