La Petite Maison Dubai Review: DIFC's French-Mediterranean Institution

Gate Village's Niçoise/Italian Mediterranean classic. Sister to London's LPM Mayfair; opened 2010, still DIFC's most reliable lunch reservation.

La Petite Maison Dubai (LPM to regulars) opened at Gate Village in 2010, two years after the London original. It immediately became DIFC's defining business-lunch room — a status it has not relinquished. Sixteen years on, the Niçoise-Italian Mediterranean menu, the bright airy room, and the impossibly attentive service still set the DIFC midday standard.

The cooking philosophy is southern French/Italian Riviera — light, ingredient-led, sharing-style. Burrata with heritage tomato, lamb cutlets with rosemary, whole sea bream baked in salt, raspberry tart for dessert. Nothing on the menu shouts. Everything is impeccably sourced and unfussy.

Michelin-recommended in 2024-2026. Pricing AED 450-750pp typical lunch; AED 600-900pp dinner with wine. The set business lunch (AED 350pp 3-course) is one of DIFC's best lunch deals and the easiest premium reservation in the area to land at short notice.

Must Order

  • Burrata with Heritage Tomato AED 145
Whole burrata, two heritage tomato varieties, basil, Modena vinegar — LPM's signature opener.
  • Lamb Cutlets with Rosemary AED 320
6 cutlets, charcoal-grilled, lemon and rosemary. The defining LPM main.
  • Whole Sea Bream in Salt Crust AED 380
Tableside salt-crust crack — the most theatrical LPM moment.
  • Set Business Lunch (3-course) AED 350
The DIFC business-lunch standard. 3 courses, glass of wine optional.

Pros

  • 16-year DIFC track record
  • Set lunch (AED 350) is exceptional value
  • Service is genuinely excellent
  • Bright airy room — no dim-lit clichés
  • Easy walk-in availability for solo lunch

Things to Know

  • Dinner pricing has crept up
  • Famously hard to book Friday/Saturday dinner
  • No à la carte vegetarian main
  • Dress code enforced — no shorts, no sportswear

Final Verdict

LPM Dubai is DIFC's defining business-lunch reservation and one of the city's most reliable Mediterranean rooms. The set lunch at AED 350pp is exceptional value; dinner sits at AED 600-900pp with wine. Sixteen years in, still consistently excellent.
