We've eaten our way through every Mediterranean restaurant in Dubai β Greek tavernas, Turkish mangals, Lebanese mezze palaces, Spanish tapas bars, and Moroccan riad-inspired dining rooms β to bring you this definitive ranked list. Every score reflects multiple visits, honest assessment, and zero sponsored content.
GAIA
Chef Izu Ani's GAIA is the pinnacle of Mediterranean fine dining in Dubai. The interiors β all warm neutrals, clean lines, and dappled light β feel like stepping into a Greek island home reimagined by a world-class designer. The food follows suit: deceptively simple, extraordinarily precise. Grilled sea bass with capers and lemon oil. Strapatsada eggs that somehow taste better than any you've eaten. Cold mezze presented on beautiful ceramics. Every element has been thought through. Hidden bar NYX upstairs is one of Dubai's great secrets β book it for after dinner.
"The best Greek-inspired restaurant we've eaten at anywhere in the world. GAIA is operating at a level few restaurants reach."
Sirali
Sirali is the finest Turkish restaurant in Dubai, and by some measures the best in the region. Every meal begins with warm simit bread and a trio of dips β already you know you're in expert hands. The kitchen takes Turkish culinary tradition seriously, then finds subtle ways to push it forward: the bΓΆrek au gratin is simultaneously comforting and surprising. The marinated lamb shoulder, slow-cooked for hours, is the dish that will make you book a return visit before you've even finished it.
"Modern Turkish cooking at its very best. Sirali is what every Turkish restaurant aspires to be."
Em Sherif
Em Sherif is Dubai's ultimate Lebanese mezze experience. The design β all warm wood, textured walls, and softly glowing lamps β makes you feel like a welcomed guest in an opulent Beirut family home. Come with the largest group you can assemble: the mezze menu rewards appetite and curiosity in equal measure. Cold mezze first, then hot, then the mixed grill, then the mountain of freshly baked bread you'll use to mop everything up.
"The standard by which all Lebanese restaurants in Dubai are judged. No group meal here has ever disappointed."
Mythos Kouzina & Grill
The most beloved Greek restaurant in Dubai, and with good reason. Mythos captures the essence of a neighbourhood Greek taverna: unpretentious, warm, and reliably excellent. The petite lakeside terrace in JLT is one of Dubai's most pleasant outdoor dining experiences when the weather cooperates. The menu covers all the classics without a single dud β saganaki comes flaming to the table, the moussaka is the best in the city, and the fresh sea bass is perfectly cooked every time.
"The neighbourhood Greek restaurant Dubai deserves and has. Every neighbourhood in the city should have a Mythos."
BOCA
BOCA holds the Michelin Bib Gourmand, and deserves every bit of the recognition. The Spanish-Mediterranean small-plates format is brilliantly suited to Dubai's sharing culture. The kitchen is precise and creative without being showy β the ibΓ©rico croquetas are perfect spheres of joy, the gambas al ajillo crackle with heat and garlic, and the arroz bomba is the best paella-adjacent rice dish in the Gulf. Wine list is exceptional.
"The Michelin recognition is fully deserved. BOCA is one of the most consistently excellent restaurants in Dubai."
Ammos
Ammos nails the Greek island dining experience with its whitewashed walls, blue accents, and terrace overlooking the Marina skyline. The menu keeps to classic Greek and Mediterranean favourites β orzo with seafood, chicken souvlaki, fresh sea bass β and many ingredients are sourced directly from Greece. The Friday brunch is one of the city's best Mediterranean brunch experiences.
OPA
OPA is where Greek food meets nightclub energy. The dining room throbs with music, the napkin twirling is infectious, and yes, the plate smashing is very much part of the experience. The food β mezze, grills, fresh seafood β is genuinely excellent beneath the spectacle. Come for a birthday, anniversary, or any occasion that deserves a proper celebration. Go late, go loud, and go hungry.
BeBabel
BeBabel is Dubai's most romantic Lebanese restaurant. Smoky aubergine mezze, silky Hatay hummus, tender octopus in garlic and parsley β the cold mezze board alone is worth the visit. Larger sharing plates like mixed kebabs and rib-eye elevate the experience into a proper feast. Beautifully lit, genuinely intimate, and consistently exceptional service.
Bosporus
Bosporus is the reliable classic of Dubai's Turkish scene β consistent across all locations, with the Umm Suqeim branch being the most atmospheric thanks to its outdoor garden seating. Classic Turkish grills, fresh bread, and an extensive mezze selection. The pide bread is exceptional.
Al Safadi
The buzzing, family-friendly Lebanese institution. Al Safadi is where you go when you want classic Lebanese done well, in a lively setting, without the premium pricing of the top-tier restaurants. Generous portions, consistent quality, and the grills are excellent. Great for groups.
Fish Beach Taverna
Whitewashed walls, blue accents, and a beachfront location that genuinely evokes a Greek island. The menu leans heavily on fresh seafood with Greek and Turkish influence. Best on a cooler evening when the terrace is magical. The sea bass and calamari are the stars.
Gunaydin
Gunaydin has built a reputation across the region for its Turkish steaks and meat specialties. The Souk Al Bahar location is particularly scenic with Burj Khalifa views. A more casual, meat-forward Turkish experience compared to the refinement of Sirali, but consistently delicious.
Ibn AlBahr
Families and groups gathering on the terrace or down by the sand for authentic Lebanese sharing plates. The setting β directly on the beach at Palm Jumeirah β is hard to beat. Mezze arrives quickly and generously; the seafood is always fresh. A warm, unpretentious experience.
CZN Burak
The viral Turkish celebrity chef experience, complete with Burj Khalifa fountain views and musical waitstaff. The food is better than the spectacle would suggest β decent kebabs, good Turkish mezze. Best for visitors or first-time Dubai experiences. Book the fountain-view table in advance.
Ayamna
Atlantis's Lebanese fine dining restaurant serves time-honoured dishes with a modern touch. Shrimp kunafa and lamb shank are the showpiece dishes. The setting is grand, the service polished, and the weekend brunch is a highlight of Dubai's mezze brunch scene. Pricey but impressive.
