We've eaten at every restaurant worth knowing in Dubai Marina. Hundreds of meals over several years, from quick lunches on the Marina Walk to marathon tasting evenings at the top of Grosvenor House. This is our definitive ranked list — updated October 2025, honest about prices, and direct about which places have earned their reputation and which are coasting on a view.
The Marina has over 200 restaurants. These are the 15 that matter. For the full guide to the area including budget breakdown, best-by-occasion picks, and the Pier 7 experience, read our Complete Dubai Marina Restaurant Guide.
The Rankings
Atelier M
The Marina's best restaurant, full stop. Three floors of Pier 7, a 1920s-inspired interior, panoramic water views, and a kitchen fusing Mediterranean ingredients with Japanese precision. The yellowfin tataki is one of Dubai's best single bites. Book the terrace at sunset.
Row on 45
The Marina's most ambitious dining room. Seventeen courses, 45th-floor views across the marina and Palm Jumeirah, technically exceptional cooking that references Japanese precision and European classicism. An event, not just a dinner. The wine pairing (AED 480 extra) is outstanding.
Marina Social
Jason Atherton's Marina showpiece. The Beef Wellington (AED 680 for two) is legendary. Energetic atmosphere, great terrace, and one of the best weekend brunches in the area for food-focused guests. The "Feed Me" option delivers exceptional value at AED 340–420 per person.
Ammos Greek Restaurant
The best Greek restaurant in Dubai and it's not particularly close. Seafood sourced directly from Greece, grilled over charcoal, served on a terrace that channels every good memory of an Aegean holiday. The mezze spread (AED 165 for two) followed by a whole grilled sea bass is perfection. Friday long lunches here are a weekly ritual for Marina residents.
Asia Asia
The most atmospheric restaurant in the Marina. Dark lacquered wood, hanging lanterns, pulsing Asian music — Asia Asia takes you somewhere. The 12-dish sharing feast (AED 380pp) travels across Asia in one meal: Japanese sashimi, Thai-spiced prawns, Chinese duck pancakes. On Thursday evenings it morphs into something between a great restaurant and a sophisticated nightclub. Both phases work brilliantly.
Bistro Des Arts
The Marina's best-kept secret and most romantic restaurant. A 1970s Paris-inspired bistro on the promenade serving genuinely excellent duck confit, steak frites, and French onion soup. The wine list is thoughtfully assembled and well-priced. No views to speak of, but the intimate garden terrace and warm amber lighting make it one of Dubai's best date spots at any price point.
Observatory Bar & Grill
Perched on the 52nd floor, Observatory offers what is legitimately one of Dubai's best views — Palm Jumeirah to the west, marina skyscrapers below, Gulf horizon beyond. The steakhouse menu is serious: dry-aged USDA prime cuts, excellent sides, a wine list built for carnivores. This is where Marina residents bring visiting family when they want to show off the city from above.
Pure Sky Lounge & Dining
Two expansive terraces with sweeping views of the Arabian Gulf and Ain Dubai make Pure Sky one of the Marina's best rooftop experiences. The food — a well-executed international menu with strong seafood and mezze sections — is better than typical rooftop fare. Sunset tables fill up days in advance. Their Friday brunch on the terrace is a genuinely lovely, less hectic alternative to hotel ballroom brunches.
Fish Beach Taverna
A white-and-blue Greek island aesthetic right on the beach, with tables literally in the sand and seafood so fresh it tastes of the morning catch. The whole grilled branzino (AED 195) is exceptional. It's the most relaxed restaurant on this list — you're welcome to arrive in flip-flops — and the combination of genuine seafood quality and beachfront setting makes it one of Dubai's most pleasant lunch experiences.
Almaz by Momo
Created by legendary restaurateur Mourad "Momo" Mazouz (of London's Sketch fame), Almaz brings North African cuisine to Pier 7 in a setting that manages to be simultaneously opulent and warmly welcoming. The bastilla (AED 145 — sweet pigeon pastry) is outstanding, the lamb tagine (AED 165) is cooked over hours, and the shisha terrace is among the Marina's best. A genuinely unique offering in a sea of Mediterranean and Asian options.
"The Marina's top ten restaurants span twelve cuisines, four continents, and price points from AED 60 to AED 900 per head. The common thread? Every one of them is genuinely worth it."
Restaurants #11–15: Honourable Mentions
#11 Wane by SoMiya (JW Marriott, AED 200–350pp) — The Marina's best pool club dining. Chic rooftop terrace, great cocktails, and surprisingly good food for a pool venue. Spectacular skyscraper-framed sunset views.
#12 Bussola (The Westin, AED 180–300pp) — Solid Italian on the waterfront. Not the most exciting restaurant in the Marina but excellent wood-fired pizza (AED 95–145) and an unbeatable terrace table position directly over the water.
#13 Toro Toro (Grosvenor House, AED 250–400pp) — Latin American grill and bar from Richard Sandoval. The mixed grill platter (AED 380 for two) is theatrical and delicious. Best for groups who want energy and flavour simultaneously.
#14 Dinner in the Sky (Dubai Marina, AED 350–550pp) — Conceptual novelty that actually works. Tables hoisted 50 metres into the air by crane, food cooked in a central kitchen suspended beside you. Not for the faint-hearted or vertiginous, but genuinely memorable.
#15 Barfly by Buddha-Bar (Marriott Harbour, AED 200–350pp) — The Marina's best late-night food-forward bar. The Asian-inspired small plates are seriously good, especially the crispy duck gyoza (AED 88) and the tuna tartare (AED 115). Comes alive after 10pm.
How We Rank These Restaurants
Our rankings are based on multiple visits over 12 months, with every meal paid for by our team. We score on food quality (50%), value for money (20%), service (15%), and atmosphere (15%). A restaurant with spectacular views but mediocre food will not appear on this list — views are a bonus, not a substitute for quality. We update this list quarterly as new restaurants open and existing ones evolve.
